Workshop waiver & participant agreement

Adults only & safe participation
This workshop is for adults aged 18 and over. I confirm I am at least 18. I will follow the instructor’s directions, use tools only as demonstrated, wear any required protective equipment, keep food and drinks away from tools, and stop and ask for help if unsure. Sharp tools, heated wax and heated equipment can cause cuts, burns or other injury. I will tell the instructor privately about any condition or access need that may affect safe participation.
Alcohol & venue rules
Alcohol arrangements depend on the venue: some allow BYO, some allow drinks purchased from the venue only, and some prohibit alcohol completely. BYO is permitted only when expressly confirmed by Zelle Studio. Working with tools requires attention. I will avoid excessive drinking and will not work with tools while impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication. The instructor may stop tool use or participation if safety is affected. I will follow venue rules and arrange safe transport.
Grazing & allergies
A complimentary grazing board is included. I will advise Zelle Studio of food allergies or dietary requirements before the workshop. Allergen-free preparation and absence of cross-contact cannot be guaranteed; I will ask about ingredients before eating and may choose not to eat.
Silver, gemstones & additional charges
The workshop includes up to 10g of silver per person, standard casting, sanding and polishing. Extra silver is charged separately and agreed before casting. A gold upgrade is available at an extra cost, quoted for the design, estimated finished weight and chosen gold option, and agreed before casting. Gemstones from Zelle Studio are optional and their purchase price is not included. A piece containing gemstones attracts an additional $20 casting-house fee per piece, separate from gemstone prices. Stone choices, prices and any additional costs will be confirmed before I approve casting. Signing this agreement does not authorise unspecified charges.
Lost-wax casting & gemstone risks
Casting uses high temperatures and the original wax model is consumed. Even stones considered suitable for casting can change colour, become cloudy, crack, chip, fracture, burn, loosen, move, be lost or be missing from the finished casting. The final piece may have minor size or shape changes, shrinkage, porosity, pits, surface marks, incomplete metal fill, distortion or loss of fine detail. Thin or delicate parts can break. A casting may fail, require repair or remaking, or differ from the wax design; an identical replacement may not be possible. I understand these inherent risks and will discuss stone and design suitability with the instructor. Zelle Studio will contact me if a problem occurs, explain available remedies and obtain approval for any proposed additional work or charge. My consumer rights remain unaffected.
Venue & finished jewellery
The workshop venue depends on the number attending and will be somewhere in Beaumaris. Zelle Studio will confirm the exact venue and its alcohol rules before the session. Casting and finishing take place afterwards; jewellery is not ready to take home on the workshop day. Free pickup from Beaumaris is available by arrangement once casting, sanding and polishing are complete. Shipping is optional and its cost must be shown and agreed before payment for shipping. Completion and collection timing will be confirmed.

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or move your workshop booking, please get in touch with Zelle Studio.
Cancellation policy (2026-10-12-v1) · Cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice
Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled workshop start time for a full refund of your workshop booking payment. The 48-hour window is measured from the workshop start time in Melbourne local time.
Cancellation policy (2026-10-12-v1) · Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice
Bookings cancelled less than 48 hours before the workshop are non-refundable for a change of plans. You may still reschedule your booking to another available date—please contact us so we can arrange this with you.
Cancellation policy (2026-10-12-v1) · Rescheduling
You’re welcome to request a change of date, including within the final 48 hours. Rescheduling is subject to availability for the same workshop format. We’ll confirm your new date with you; it is not changed until you receive our confirmation.

If we cancel your workshop, you may choose a full refund or transfer your booking to another available date.

This policy applies to changes of plans and does not exclude or limit your rights or remedies under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where the law requires a refund or another remedy, we will provide it.
Acknowledgment & consumer rights
I have read these terms, had the opportunity to ask questions and choose to participate with knowledge of the described risks. I agree to the safety rules and cancellation and rescheduling policy, and acknowledge the casting and gemstone risks. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law, or releases Zelle Studio from obligations that cannot lawfully be waived. My typed full name and checked agreement record my electronic signature and consent to retain this agreement with my booking. I sign for myself only, not for other attendees.
