Discover an ancient craft with a beautifully personal result. During your workshop, you’ll design and make a jewellery piece in wax, guided step by step through the lost-wax technique. No experience is needed.
After the workshop, we send your wax design to a specialist casting house, where a mould is made and the wax is replaced with silver. Back at Zelle Studio, we carefully sand and polish your piece ready for free pickup from Beaumaris or optional shipping.

Just for Two
A private workshop for two, perfect for couples, mothers and daughters, best friends or family members. Spend meaningful time together exploring the ancient lost-wax technique, with personal guidance throughout. Make a piece for each other, or create your own jewellery as a sentimental reminder of your shared experience. Both guests must be aged 18 or over.
Start with a short chat before your session to explore your ideas, then enjoy a workshop entirely to yourselves, with individual guidance and a grazing board beautifully arranged for two. Make a piece each—or create something for each other as a personal keepsake.
Includes up to 10g of silver each, casting, sanding and polishing, and individually gift-boxed jewellery. Free Beaumaris pickup is available after finishing; shipping, gold upgrades, extra silver and gemstones are additional.

Silver, or something golden?
Your workshop includes up to 10g of silver per person. If your design needs a little more, you’ll simply cover the cost of the extra silver. We’ll guide you towards a design within the allowance if you prefer, and discuss any additional cost with you before casting. Prefer gold? You can upgrade your piece to gold at an extra cost. We’ll provide a personalised quote based on your design, its estimated finished weight and your chosen gold option, and agree the price with you before casting.
A little something to share.
Enjoy a complimentary grazing board while you create. Our workshops are for adults aged 18 and over. Let us know about allergies or dietary needs before your session.
Alcohol arrangements vary by venue: some welcome BYO, some offer drinks for purchase, and others do not allow alcohol. We’ll confirm the rules for your session. Please drink moderately—working with tools needs your full attention, and anyone who is impaired must stop using them.
Optional gemstones are priced separately. Pieces containing gemstones also attract an additional $20 casting-house fee per piece. We’ll explain casting risks and confirm all extras with you before casting.

What will I make at the workshop?+
You’ll design and make a jewellery piece in wax, guided through the ancient lost-wax technique. Your design is cast in silver after the workshop, then sanded and polished by Zelle Studio, ready for free pickup from Beaumaris or optional shipping at an extra cost. No jewellery-making experience is needed.
What is the lost-wax technique?+
It is an ancient method of making jewellery from a wax model. A specialist casting house makes a mould around your design, melts away the wax and fills the space with silver, preserving the shape you created.
What are the two workshop options?+
The Shared Table welcomes up to eight people. Just for Two is $599 for two people, with the whole session reserved for you. It includes a short chat beforehand, individual guidance, grazing for two and individually gift-boxed jewellery. Make your own pieces or create one for each other. Both formats follow the same journey from wax design to finished silver jewellery.
Where are workshops held?+
Our venue changes to suit the number of people attending, but will always be somewhere in Beaumaris. We’ll confirm the exact venue and address before your workshop. Mobile availability across Bayside is by enquiry.
How long is a workshop and what is included?+
The Shared Table runs for 3 hours and 30 minutes and cost $199 AUD per person. Up to 10g of silver per person, casting, sanding and polishing are included. Just for Two costs $599 AUD for two people. Session times are shown on each date.
What if my piece needs more than 10g of silver?+
If your design needs a little more silver, you’ll simply cover the cost of the extra silver. We’ll help you stay within the included allowance if you prefer, and discuss any additional cost with you before casting.
Do I take my jewellery home on the day?+
Your wax design stays with us for casting. We then sand and polish the silver piece. Choose free pickup from Beaumaris by arrangement, or optional shipping at an extra cost agreed before shipping payment. We’ll confirm the delivery timing with you; your piece will not be ready on the workshop day.
Can we celebrate a birthday or special occasion?+
Absolutely. Book places together in The Shared Table for up to eight people, or reserve Just for Two. Get in touch to tell us about your occasion.
Can I upgrade my jewellery to gold?+
Yes! Your workshop includes up to 10g of silver per person, or you can upgrade to gold at an extra cost. We’ll provide a personalised quote based on your design, estimated finished weight and chosen gold option. The upgrade cost will be agreed with you before casting.
Are gemstones included?+
Gemstones are optional and charged separately. A piece containing gemstones also attracts an additional $20 casting-house fee per piece. Stones can change colour, crack, chip, become cloudy or be lost during casting. We’ll discuss suitability, risks and prices before you approve casting.
Is the workshop adults only?+
Yes, all attendees must be 18 or over. Each attendee signs the workshop waiver before payment.
Is food or alcohol included?+
A complimentary grazing board is included. Please tell us about allergies in advance. Depending on the venue, BYO may be allowed, drinks may be available for purchase, or alcohol may be prohibited. Alcohol is not included in the workshop fee. We’ll confirm the venue rules; anyone impaired must stop using tools.
What are the cancellation terms?+
Cancel at least 48 hours before your workshop start time for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable for a change of plans, but you can still reschedule to another available date. Contact Zelle Studio to arrange changes. If we cancel, choose a full refund or another date. Your Australian Consumer Law rights are unaffected.
